John Murray, Jr. took over leadership of the company from his father in 1989 and now serves as Chief Executive Officer & Chairman. As the CEO of a leading construction company, John exemplifies strong leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to excellence in the industry. With more than four decades of experience, he has spearheaded numerous high-profile projects, helping transform urban landscapes while setting new standards for quality and sustainability. His strategic vision and hands-on approach have not only driven the company’s growth but have also fostered a culture built on collaboration, integrity, and long-term relationships.

Under John’s leadership, the company has become synonymous with reliability and forward-thinking construction solutions, earning the trust and respect of clients, partners, and communities alike. Over the years, he has expanded the company’s reach across multiple regions of Texas and throughout the country. Teal has completed projects across the southern United States, from California to Georgia. John continues to play an advisory role in the company and remains closely involved in management decisions and operations. 

When he is not visiting jobsites, John enjoys fishing in Rockport, Texas, as well as farming and duck hunting in El Toro, TX. John and his wife, Liz, reside in Rockport with their Labrador retrievers, Bandit and Bella. They have two children, Kelsey and Daniel, and remain actively involved in their church, the local art scene, and organizational activities.
