Klein ISD Northampton Elementary School
Klein ISD Northampton Elementary School
Northampton Elementary School underwent a comprehensive 80,200-SF renovation and addition project. Seventy-five percent of the existing building was gutted, leaving only the exterior walls and structure, to create more classroom space and modern learning environments. A new 3,500-SF fine arts section was added, enhancing the school and providing connectivity between the existing campus and the detached gymnasium. The renovation included a new fire sprinkler system, IT cabling, security systems, and a public address system across the entire campus. Windows were added to the exterior, allowing natural light into all exterior classrooms. One of the highlights is the creation of learning pods, surrounded by classrooms for each grade level, each featuring its own transportation theme. Teachers can open their classrooms with glass overhead doors hidden in the ceiling, creating an open-concept space for collaborative learning. Students can use the pods for classwork, reading, and experiments. The playground was upgraded with a new detention pond and a concrete walking trail. The existing parking lot was resurfaced and expanded, providing more parking spaces for teachers and a larger drop-off/pick-up line.
