The Aransas County Competition Gym was a re-build for the school district. The original gym was lost in the destruction of Hurricane Harvey. The 18,000 square foot gym has CMU structural walls, brick exterior and steel structure. The interior layout includes the gymnasium, lobby, concessions, restrooms, and storage spaces. Through a thorough preconstruction and buyout, Teal was able to return approximately two hundred thousand back to the District at the end of the project. This was a special project for the District and was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
