YMCA Coastal Bend was in need for additional space and new exercise areas for their community. Teal built a single story addition including a Wellness Center, Youth Center and pool expansion. The exterior materials included metal panels, stucco and storefront systems. Architectural detailing was constructed at the entrance to the new addition to emphasize the new entry. A two story storefront system with metal canopy and metal panel accents were all part of the detailing. The new lobby has a polished concrete floor ornamented with the YMCA logo and custom front coordination desk. Due to the hard material surfaces and open ceiling throughout the wellness center acoustical wall panels and acoustical ceiling clouds were constructed to cushion sound.
