Klein Fire Station is a 10,907 square foot facility to support the growing community in the Harris County ESD 16 precinct. The new fire station has three apparatus bays with electronic four-fold sectional doors that add additional innovative and aesthetic value to the project. The one-story building contains eight sleeping quarters, kitchen and day room, training room, office areas, and auxiliary spaces to support the station. The double height apparatus bay contains storage and an equipment platform. The building is majority wood frame construction with structural steel to support the apparatus clear space area. The exterior façade is brick masonry and hardi-plank. The facility was built on a greenfield site; site utilities, new drive approaches, paving, and landscaping were all part of the project.
